Robert IversResident ArtistInterior Illusions - West Hollywood

In 1993 Robert Ivers was commissioned by the late Her Royal Highness, Lady Diana, Princess of Wales.  To this day, the painting titled HOPE, continues to hang on the walls of the St. James Palace.  More recently his work has been acquired by such celebrities as Tori Spelling (Beverly 90210), Kevin Connolly (Entourage) and Justin Berfield (Malcolm in the Middle).

With over 20 styles, Ivers produces artwork with an innate sense of expression ranging from abstract-expressionism and other popular mid-century paradigms, to representational, and portraiture embodying personalities with an uncanny resemblance to the living or past on.  Color and texture are often used and with time constraints as some clients and designers have, this talented artist can make any idea come true.

"My interest in creating artwork is simply a desire to fulfill an area, which, without it would not be complete.  Whether commissioned or for myself, all inspiration can be found in anything from: tangible objects to abstract thoughts, color, events or relationships.  I believe talent is the sixth sense, and that when discovered can either be expressed or appreciated and in that, it is fulfilling and essential.

An inspiration of mine is architecture; it really has a definite appeal for me.  Traveling to both urban and rural areas is beneficial.  It allows me to absorb my surroundings in a more conscious approach while becoming more aware of how structures are placed on the earth's canvass and the direction it has taken to define it as a landmark.  Each edifice is a record of the day, the people and how it reflects society -- an insightful tool for others to utilize for their own development by example.

I believe inspiration is as great as how it is inspired; therefore, as I understand it: family, friends, my contemporaries life and everyone in it will, in one way or another, have a part in what transpires through expression."
